As we celebrate 30 years of GFCBW, the collective power and influence of our sisterhood have grown exponentially, creating a ripple effect that is truly remarkable. I am fortunate to have been part of this journey for two-thirds of its duration, witnessing how women today use their gentle strength to drive change and practice altruism.

My journey with GFCBW began in 2003 when I joined Chairwoman Shu Min Lin in founding the Australia Chapter in 2004. This experience underscored the significance and mission of our overseas chapters. In 2017, I succeeded Chairwoman Sue-Juan Lin as President of the New Taipei City Chapter, leading with 101 members and a vision of reaching new heights. In 2018, I was honored to serve as Deputy Executive Director under Chairwoman Alice Liu, where I learned the intricacies of our organization’s operations. By 2020, Chairwoman Sherry Chen entrusted me with the role of Executive Director, a position that immersed me in the complexities and responsibilities of leading GFCBW.

Now, as I transition to the role of Vice Chairwoman under Chairwoman Shu Min Lin, I do so with both humility and determination. I may not see myself as a swift horses, but every Chairwoman has been a talent scout, recognizing and nurturing talent. The selflessness of our founding Chairwoman Jui-Chin Ko-Tu and the careful guidance of Honorary Chairwoman Nancy Shih have broadened my perspective and elevated my vision.

Under Chairwoman Monica Chuang’s leadership during the twelfth term, we saw innovation and execution that advanced GFCBW significantly. With Chairwoman Shu Min Lin's focus on harmony and inclusiveness, I am committed to supporting her vision and adding new chapters to our strong foundation. I hope that together, we will ensure GFCBW continues to grow and thrive, becoming a towering presence in the global community.
