• The 7th Chairwoman of GFCBW

GFCBW is the first Chinese businesswomen’s elite organization to register in Taiwan and then devel­op into a global organization. After 29 years of development and after 11 sessions of outstanding naviga­tion of the confederation team, there are now 79chapters, spread across the world’s three oceans and six continents, creating a solid and active Chinese businesswomen’s learning platform for business exchange, as well as a model for international women’s associations.

In the domestic GFCBWchapters, the thoughts of Chinese businesswomen are condensed, and the integration force is brought into play, which is highly valued by the mainstream of politics and economics. Overseas GFCBW chapters have become the main charity force of overseas Chinese communities in dif­ferent countries, improving Taiwan’s visibility and playing the role of the motherland’s diplomatic vanguard. In terms of charity and public welfare, we will give full play to the spirit of great love without borders, the GFCBW sisters who have extended the helping hands in disaster relief and care, whenever there are ma­jor natural and man-made disasters at home and abroad.GFCBW has even gathered global forces to do­nate dozens of ambulances and rehabilitation buses, as well as more than 700 electric medical beds and other equipment to medical and social welfare institutions in Taiwan.

WithGFCBW’s good public welfare image and outstanding contributions in overseas Chinese affairs and diplomacy, many of its members have been appointed by the State to serve in important positions such as overseas Community affairs commissioners, entered into the halls of Congress as legislators, or become municipal advisers to county and city mayors, advisers to Premier of Executive Yuan, and even appointed by the Chairwoman as national policy advisers. The selection of the Huaguan Award has been held for nine sessions;this award has not only become a symbol of the highest achievements of Chinese businesswomen, but also the mainstay of the inheritance of the confederation based onthe outstanding members actively contributing to Chinese businesswomen globally.

The 12th GFCBW Chairwoman, Monica Chuang, the winner of the fifth “Huaguan Award,” has be­come today’s successor Chairwoman through the experience of her position as vice Chairwoman. Chair­woman Chuang operates her business in textiles, medical biotechnology, information technology, and chain of catering establishments; she is also thedirector of three listed companies. In order to expand the level of public welfare and sustainable power, she has set up an education foundation, which was praised by the Ministry of Culture for its contribution to the preservation of traditional culture. For her knowledge, experience, successful career experience, and dedication to public welfare, Chairwoman Chuang is a model worth learning from.

We are very much looking forward to the innovative landscape of Chairwoman Chuang, expecting the team of the confederation working together to complete the mission, and hoping that the global mem­bers and sisters will work together to lay a solid foundation on the base laid by their predecessors, create milestones in the long river of history, and create eternal value for individuals and organizations together!
